I have a new recipe that I know you all are going to enjoy!! It’s Asian Steak Bites and Garlic Roasted Potatoes. Let’s get started….
OK, This recipe will be in my “favorites” section of my recipe book! I loved the way the steak came out and it was a different taste that I never knew I always needed. I was afraid it would be on the spicy side but it wasn’t. It had just a perfect amount of kick for me and my family. I am not a spicy food lover, mild makes me cry sometimes.
I purchased 1.5 pounds of Flank Steak for my family of 5. After you clean it, you want to cut it into bite size pieces and place it in a bowl.
In a small bowl you want to add these ingredients:
1/4 Cup of Soy Sauce
2 Tablespoons of Honey
1 Tablespoon of Chili Paste
Here’s the deal! I didn’t have enough of the soy sauce so I used whatever I had left (not sure the amount). I used Simply Asia Thai Kitchen roasted red chili paste. I added a tiny bit more then the 1 tablespoon cause it smelled like it was going to be good, Lol.
Mix all the ingredients together and pour it onto the asian steak bites. Make sure its all covered really good and let it marinate in the fridge for about 20 minutes. I let it marinate long enough to get my garlic roasted potatoes ready and in the oven.
When you’re ready to cook your steak, add 2-3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil to a pan and let that get nice and hot before adding the steak. You want just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan , don’t add to much. Then just cook the steak to your liking (rare, medium or well done) and you’re done.
Red / White potatoes
Garlic Cloves, minced
Salt and Pepper
I used an entire 3 lb bag of baby red potatoes. I lined the cookie sheet with aluminum foil for easy clean up. I then sliced the potatoes in halves and placed them on a cookie sheet. I drizzled olive oil all over the potatoes, minced up about 6-7 garlic cloves, and sprinkled salt and pepper to taste.
Place them in the oven on 400 degrees and cook till the potatoes are tender. Timing may vary depending on the size of the potatoes. Mine cooked in about 25 minutes.
This is the finished product! I added broccoli to the Asian Steak Bites (you can keep your vegetables separate) and sprinkled some Italian Parsley onto the Garlic Roasted Potatoes. This was big hit with my family and I hope you all love it as much as we did.
Till next time!
