How To Remove Nail Polish From Carpets

Today we are talking about how to remove nail polish from carpets….

Nail polish is like a love/hate relationship. We love it because it makes our nails pretty. It gives us a good boost when we first get our nails done at the salon or at home. We also hate nail polish when it falls on carpets, floors or furniture. It may be the hardest thing to remove.

I did some research and found a couple of ways that help with removing nail polish off of light and dark carpets. You have to be careful because what works for lighter carpet won’t work for darker carpets.

Light Carpets:

1. You MUST act quickly!! The faster you are able to get to the problem the better results you will have.

2. BLOT the area, NEVER rub!!

3. Use a NON-ACETONE nail polish remover.  You want to add the remover on a sponge/rag/cloth and keep blotting until the color is gone.

Dark Carpets:

Follow 1 and 2 from above.

3. You can use hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol for darker or multiple colored carpets. Use a small dropper if your using hydrogen peroxide and treat the  exact area.

I am not a professional. I am just giving you different tips that may work for you. Each case is different because of color or amount that was spilled. Use these methods at your own risk.
